Kid's Mystery Step Five

An accurate 1/4" seam allowance is crucial to this step. Make sure you are sewing a good 1/4" seam.

 

Step One

Take the 3" green and the 3" blue #2 squares, and make half-square Triangles, using the instructions found here.
Make 16 units, and discard 1.


Trim to 2 1/2" x 2 1/2", if needed.

 

Step Two

Sew together in units as shown below. Make 3 sets of each.
Make sure the triangles are facing the correct direction as the two sets are different.

Step Three

Sew these units to the 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" Brights, as shown. Please remember to press carefully!

 

 

 

Step Four

Take two of the units created above, and assemble as shown below. Set aside one for later use.

Step Five

Take the six units created in Step Four and assemble with the 6 1/2" x 6 1/2" Blue #2 squares, as shown.
Set one aside for later use.
