Kid's Mystery Step Four

An accurate 1/4" seam allowance is crucial to this step. Make sure you are sewing a good 1/4" seam.

1. 8 Blue #1 and 8 striped triangles and assemble as shown.

Square down to 3 1/2" x 3 1/2". Press carefully, as they are diagonal triangles, and will want to stretch.

2. Assemble the 8 units made in step 1 with the 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" Blue #1 squares.

3. Take the set of 17 units formed in Step 3, and pick out 4 different. Set these aside for a later step. Sew the remaining 13 units as shown to the right.

Seven of them will be sewn like A.

Six of them will be sewn like B.

From the seven unit A's you just made, select one and set it aside for further use.

4. Assemble the units as shown, making six units.
