Trixie isn't left behind in the 4th of July festivities! Hitty Rose has made her a pretty patriotic neckerchief. She also has made sure to bring plenty of fresh water and Trixie's travel bowl with her, so she won't get dehydrated. Hitty Rose plans to enter Trixie into the Dog show held over at the Town Barn. Every time she mentions it Mother and Dad laugh, and say that the only trick Trixie knows is how to open the screen door so she can get out and bark at the chickens. But the trick is going to be on them! Grandma and Hitty Rose have been training Trixie in secret, and she can gracefully leap up and place her paws on Hitty Rose's shoulders, and delicately take a bicky from her mouth.
