Brubby isn't a lot of help when it comes to fall harvesting, but Grandma has given him a lawn broom and told him to rake some leaves into a pile. Brubby plans to put some pumpkins right on the leaves--he thinks that would make a great display for Grandma's front yard. Of course, Brubby always bites off more than he can chew, so most likely Rose will help him carry the big pumpkins over to his leaf pile. And then Grandma will get out her camera and snap pictures for their album.

Brubby likes fall ok--crisp apples to pick, pears from Grandma's orchards, and the sweet grapes that are best after the first frost. But he isn't that fond of fall cleanup! Still, he does the best he can. and he likes to tell people he works for pie! It's true--Mother always make an apple pie for dinner when Brubby brings home a sack of apples from the farm.
