Fun At the Retreat

On Sunday morning, Julie Old Crow taught a hat class.

Many of the students were eager to learn this craft.

Of course, better sized scissors would have helped some.

And for others, the class was exhausting.

But the dolly moms pulled through admirably!

Hard work pays off!

Either Eileen is happy with her work or her hands are stuck together with glue.

Celia is looking for a way out!

Enid helps out my 'new daughter', Martha.

Even the teacher can learn something new.
Look at this great edging Sylvia added!

Almost done--and then it's on to the fun part. Trims!

Feathers, and ribbon, and veiling--oh my!

Martha and Celia are ready for trims!

See? The work was so grueling, more than one Hitty collapsed.

Oh, that's so cute!

The ribbon goes this way....right?

Tiny hats take tiny trims.

Linda is almost done.

Karen, use the toothpick for the glue, not your finger!

Success!

Barb has made a very delicate hat.

And here it is, close up!

Did you put the right part on?
(One of Bobbi's journals at the front!)

I put the what where?

Jenny creates a mini masterpiece.

Sylvia is hard at working trimming out the hat.

And here are the lucky girls who got new hats!

Feeling pretty!

Mrs. Plum got a new hat, too.

Pink is in!

Celia's helper Hitty (left) gets a sassy new bonnet.

Chins up, ladies! It makes your neck look longer.

Say cheese!
