Signs of Spring
The ducks are back! We have three pairs
who come every spring to raise babies.
You are also looking at the back of the beaver dam.
This is one couple.
Swimming off in search of food.
The geese are flying North for the summer!
We have two couples who raise families in our pond.
This is the first couple.
This is the second couple.
The first couple are checking out the ice.
But the second couple are prudently racing to the
Beaver Lodge, a favorite place for a nest!
Geese of the Castle!! We claim the Beaver Lodge!
The lilacs buds are swelling.
And daffodils are pushing up under the grape vines.
(Looks like I need to dig these up and separate them this fall.)
