Scenes from the Woods

Another gloomy spring morning, waiting for rain.
The #$%^&** beavers chewed off an apple tree that I planted!
Blackie waits patiently at the top of the hill for me to catch up.
Some of the trees are showing signs of life!
A butterfly.
And another!
Matt shows off a nice bass---they are finally biting!
I'm digging up the sidewalk and moving it.
You can never get lost in our woods.
The trout lilies are coming up!
A Dutchman's Britches in the woods--almost blooming!
Does anyone know what this wild bush is?
Subliminal message--Feed Me! Or maybe they are planning to eat me.
They have been seen stalking wild turkeys, so they are obviously not afraid
of things bigger than they are!
At last!
Our first dandelion. I love these flowers.
Berry Bushes!
And finally--mud. sigh.
The wild strawberries are getting blossoms!
Yet another butterfly.
This huge tree blooms every year by my kitchen. I have no idea what it is!
Blossoms on my big lilac bush.
My small lilac has gorgeous new leaves.
