Scenes from the Woods

April 2009

A brief break in the rain, at 8:00am.

If we would get more sun, this would open up!

We don't know what these are, so we call them 'Laura's yellow flowers'.
They came from Laura Putnam's house in Redwood, many years ago.

Drip-drip-drop, little April Showers.

The Day Lilies are growing like crazy!

And then it snowed!

Crocus in the frozen morning, and crocus in the sunny afternoon.

A small yellow crocus.

A few teeny survivors of previous gardens.

A lovely huge Dutch Crocus.

Road ends in water.
We used this trail to bring wood across the ice all winter.

The rhubarb leaves are coming!

Pussywillows in the field.

A bat flying around in the daytime!

Black-capped chickadee.

A full moon rising.

The geese and ducks get along quite well on the pond.
