Madison Hitty

In the private collection of Dodi Becker

"...this is the way the doll was presented to the attendees at the Madison Area Doll Club's Region 10
Conference Meal Event "Good Morning Sunshine." She is often referred to as the Madison Hitty."

Madison Region 10 Conference was held in May of 2003. The breakfast was held on Saturday morning.
The program was presented by Virginia Heyerdahl and Judy Brown. Virginia's interest in Caddie Woodlawn (a Wisconsin heroin)
stems from the fact that she grew up "around the corner" from the home of Carol Ryrie Brink, the author of
Caddie Woodlawn stories and 'Several blocks away" from where the real Caddie Woodlawn (Carol's grandmother) lived in Moscow, Idaho.----

M arking for the Madison Hitty (Note: the prototype is unmarked).

The details on this dress are outstanding including the multiple button closing down the back of the bodice.

This is the prototype for the luncheon souvenir. She also starred in the program presented at the breakfast.

Caddie Dress -- (shown on the prototype) was available for an additional
charge, and it included the apron and a coral necklace.
